This resource, created by Allison Gardner, is centred around First Peoples Principles of Learning and demonstrates how beading can be brought into grade 4-8 math classrooms.

This resource provides a detailed table that offers ways in which students can engage with the learning. Students begin with learning about the medicine wheel by reading All Creation Represented: A Childrens Guide to the Medicine Wheel by Joyce Perreault. Throughout the lesson students engage with various resources including: The Flower Beadwork People Sherry Farrel Racette, Wâpikwaniy: A Beginner’s Guide to Métis Floral Beadwork – Gregory Scofield and Amy Briley , and tutorials on beading.
