Jess Kyle presents a collaborative project with Nadine McSpadden that merged numeracy with Coast Salish weaving through coding for grades 2 to 7. Recognizing the inherent mathematical principles in weaving, this project explored innovative ways to integrate Indigenous art forms with technology. A central question guiding Kyle’s work was: What does it mean to teach Indigenous knowledge as a non-Indigenous educator? For a deeper dive into this project and others, visit Jess Kyle’s website.
