Alli and Janice worked with two primary teachers and their classes on an Indigenous Culture Community Mathematics Education (ICCME) grant. Together, they co-constructed learning experiences that encouraged students to think about mathematics through connections to land, place, and community. Their goal was to connect mathematics with Indigenous knowledge and ways of being, focusing on seasonal changes, local plants and animals, landforms, and weather.
