PEDAGOGICAL APPROACH
Social and Ecological Justice

This five-day integrated lesson, developed by Carol Bob, explores the complex issue of Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls (MMIWG) through a math and social justice lens. Students will deepen their understanding of both subjects by creating 3D models from 2D patterns, analyzing MMIWG data, and constructing a 3D beaded red dress. Through hands-on learning, students will connect math concepts to real-world issues.
