Kammi Clark shares how she supported and led a school-wide exploration of spirals and the Fibonacci sequence as part of the Dogwood 25 Initiative. By weaving together land, place, story, and Indigenous knowledge, she guided students in discovering these mathematical patterns in the natural world. Through activities such as reading Swirl by Swirl by Joyce Sidman and Growing Patterns by Sarah C. Campbell, creating nature spirals, examining pinecones, and crafting Fibonacci dreamcatchers, she inspired a deep appreciation for the interconnectedness of mathematics and the environment.
